What are the responsibilities and job description for the Remote SR. Relay Protection & Studies Engineer position at Insight Global?
Insight Global's client is looking for a Remote Senior Relay Protection and Studies Engineer. They'll be responsible for developing relay protection schemes and performing protective device coordination for high voltage substation projects. This includes protection coordination for equipment such as transmission lines, buses, transformers, capacitor banks, circuit breakers, and reactors. They'll be responsible for the conceptualized initial design for the projects and acting as the lead engineer on the project. Additional responsibilities include :
- Short circuit studies, arc flash studies, load flow studies
- Transmission level impact / feasibility studies
- Developing logic settings for relay schemes
- Utilizing ASPEN and ETAP daily.
