JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global is seeking a Resident Engineer to lead the design-build project in Warwick, RI for the repair of 3 bridges. Duties shall include management of the construction project to assure the Contractors compliance with the contract documents; supervision of office and field staff, assist RIDOT with analysis and negotiation of extra work items, management of Transportation Management Plan and work zone safety; project inspection and contract administration under the direction of the RIDOT Area Construction Engineer and the Project Manager, coordination with adjacent construction projects. Considerable knowledge of roadway, structure, traffic engineering, construction methods, procedures, practice, plans specifications and contracts, materials used and performance, environmental regulations; working knowledge of the RIDOT Standard Specifications and Standard Details.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 10 years of experience as a Resident Engineer in managing complex construction projects exceeding $10 Million
- RI PE License
