Job Summary: The Safety Specialist will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of compliance and safety within our property portfolio. This role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring safety programs, conducting regular inspections, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive safety and compliance programs.
- Conduct regular property inspections to identify potential safety hazards and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local, state, and federal safety and compliance regulations.
- Train and educate staff on safety protocols and compliance requirements.
- Investigate and report on incidents, accidents, and safety violations.
- Collaborate with property managers to address and resolve safety and compliance issues.
- Prepare and submit required compliance reports to regulatory agencies.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all safety and compliance activities.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in safety and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety and compliance role, preferably in property management.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
- OSHA 30 certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to conduct thorough inspections and identify potential hazards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Plusses:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
