Job Summary:
The Sales and Use Tax Coordinator role at Insight Global involves overseeing indirect tax compliance and systems for one of their top manufacturing clients. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the client remains compliant with US and Canadian sales tax regulations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Oversee Vertex utilization, including tax matrix maintenance, exemption setups, and system testing.
- Coordinate preparation/review of Sales & Use and Canadian GST/QST compliance filings.
- Prepare journal entries for accrued indirect taxes and corresponding filings.
- Review and approve indirect tax accrual account reconciliations.
- Collaborate with the Indirect Tax Audit Manager to update tax systems based on audit findings.
- Manage exemption certificates, customer credits, and state/local examination matters.
- Drive input on business activities' tax effects and optimize tax technology use.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- 6-8 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1-3 years of management experience.
- CPA preferred.
