Required Skills & Experience

- Background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or an equivalent field

- 5 years of SCADA engineering experience & have EPMS knowledge

- Strong experience with AVEVA/OSI PI specifically with asset frameworks

- Technical experience performing robust design work using C# and/or python

- Hands on experience configuring and troubleshooting communication protocols (Modbus, TCP/IP, OPC UA, etc.)

- Ability to set up SQL databases

- Deadline drive in regard to quality of content, timing and costs.

- Comfortable meeting with clients to review engineering updates

- Willing to travel up to 25% of the time

Job Description

Insight Global is sourcing for a Senior SCADA Engineer for a large energy management and engineering automation company. This organization is responsible for automating technology and installing management systems within net new data centers across the globe. The team is roughly 100 individuals, yet you will be working directly with about 25 engineers and 8 Project Managers for the specific project at hand. You will be responsible for designing the graphics, implementation, deliverables of the SCADA Systems. In the position, you must be comfortable collaborating with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand system requirements to develop solutions that align with their needs. This individual must have a strong background in designing, programming, installing and testing SCADA system software, have knowledge of Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) and must obtain electrical or mechanical engineering experience. This position is specific to AVEVA OSI PI’s asset framework and must be very well versed with this technology. In this position, you must be comfortable with consulting with customers to provide requirement updates on the engineering being conducted. As data centers grow across the world, the team increasing their headcount to ensure they are meeting deliverables for the customers on time. This position requires travel via plane and car about 25% of the year. You must obtain a passport and be willing to fly out of the country for customer site visits. The remainder of the year you can work remotely from your home, working a standard 40 hours/week, preferably sitting in EST or CST hours.
