What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scheduler I position at Insight Global?
Day to Day:
This candidate will be assisting patients in scheduling their appointments for outpatient services. They will be taking a minimum of 70 inbound calls per day. Calls will include but are not limited to preregistration, coordinating patient schedules to maximize patient and physician satisfaction, estimating patient financial responsibility, collect insurance information, payment information, and deductible. In addition, this candidate will ensure that the patient meets the hospital financial policies/guidelines for services scheduled. Lastly this candidate will communicate to the patient any necessary instructions and directions for their appointments plus any additional information from the doctor.
The ideal candidate possesses great customer service skills, has a strong ability to multitask, can problem solve quickly, can de-escalate situations, and work with difficult patients. This candidate will be using Altera (EMR) and navigating 10 other systems so they need to be tech savvy while also driving the conversation with the patient.
Must Haves:
High School Diploma/GED
Minimum 1 year of healthcare front desk or healthcare call center experience with true scheduling experience
Strong knowledge of radiology terminology (MRI, CT-Scan, CAT Scan, x-ray) and medical insurance
Plusses:
Knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding and current CPT coding.
Compensation:
$17.00/hr to $22.00/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
