Job title: IT Security Analyst I
Duration: 45 day contract to hire.
Location-zipcode & Travel: Onsite Monday, Wednesday, Thursday in Topeka, remote on Tuesday and Friday
Schedule: 8-5 CST
PR: $33.65/hr on contract, converting at $70,000 salary
Must haves:
- 1 years' experience in information technology security in a professional environment
- Foundational knowledge of networking and infrastructure concepts
- Experience with conducting or being a part of basic system audits (data security audits preferred
Plusses:
- Azure cloud security experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology
- Experience with SPLUNK, Sofos, Crowdstrike, BeyondTrust, or Cisco
Day to day: As an IT Security Analyst at Insight Global, you will use required standards and publications to implement security measures that protect systems, networks, and information. You will review and update technical security documents, report to security leadership, propose improvements, and assist in implementing system and enterprise-wide security controls, standards, procedures, and guidelines. Your role includes reviewing and analyzing reports from various tools and processes to recommend, plan, assess, and implement security requirements and patches. You will assist in documenting security baselines using accepted configuration guidelines (IRS SCSEM, CIS), identify changes to established security configuration baselines, and coordinate the implementation and documentation of these changes. Additionally, you will review and assess IT component configurations periodically, compare them to HW/SW inventory and required configuration baselines, and report any gaps or compliance deficiencies. You will assist in security audits, provide updated documentation and artifacts as requested, and support the scheduling and testing of backups. You will also provide security support for application and infrastructure-related projects, resolve problems, and assist with security incident handling. Furthermore, you will provide necessary documentation, status reports, and participate in meetings as needed, while performing other related duties to support the team and fulfill responsibilities as required.
