Job Description: The GL Manager will supervise, track and evaluate day-to-day activities including establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting information. Their primary function will be managing and maintaining the integrity of the organization’s general ledger. This person will work closely with the Corporate Controller to execute the accounting function of the organization.
This is a hands-on position with the following responsibilities:
• Month, Quarter, and end-year process.
• All general ledger entries and balance sheet management.
• Capital expenditures and fixed asset activity.
• Capital assets reconciliations.
• Trust account statement reconciliations.
• Assist in monitoring and analyzing accounting data and producing financial reports or statements.
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, procedures, and principles with Controller.
• Assist in coordinating and completing annual audits with Controller.
• Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
• Meet financial accounting objectives.
• Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
