Day-to-day:
Insight Global is seeking a Senior Accountant for one of our law firm clients who specialize in plaintiff law. The role will be hybrid remote, working three days in office, two days remotely, after a few months of on-site training in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey.
In this role, you will be joining an accounting/finance team of about 10 people. As a Senior Accountant you will be assisting with the financial operations of our client, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The Senior Accountant will work closely with the finance team and report directly to the Finance Manager. You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements. The ideal candidate will help mentor and train the accounting staff.
Additional Responsibilities will include:
- Manage the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings and reconciliations.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and variances.
- Prepare budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
- Coordinate with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.
- Provide financial analysis and support for special projects and strategic initiatives.
- Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
