Position: Senior Marine Mechanical Engineer (Propulsion)
Location: Hybrid – Baltimore MD
Schedule: 4 days in office, one day at home; 6am-3pm
Duration: 12 month contract to hire
Compensation: $50-$65/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Day to Day:
- Design, develop and evaluate operation of marine vessels, shipboard propulsion machinery, and review and develop technical data packages, provide oversight on development of machinery arrangements, conduct and oversee trade studies.
- Knowledge of ABS, NVR, and commercial ship design rules and regulations.
Must Haves:
- BS or MS in Technical, Engineering, or Marine Degree from ABET accredited institution, related to field of work.
- Must be able to obtain a secret clearance
- Minimum of 6 years’ documented experience with developing ship propulsion and control systems, machinery arrangements, weight assessments, and conducting trade studies on the configuration of propulsion and associated components.
- Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills required.
- Excellent Oral, Written and Presentation skills.
- Time Management and Organization skills.
- Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and provide examples of written correspondence.
- Candidate must possess an active Secret clearance
- AutoCAD design experience
Highly Desirable
- Documented experience with marine or defense environment
Salary : $50 - $65
