Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Wanted for Complex Electromechanical Medical Device Development
Job Summary
Lead design teams through full product development of hardware and into production, implementing mechanical architecture needs within time and cost constraints.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate expertise in mechanical engineering fundamentals to match or exceed customer expectations.
- Consult on mechanical architectures, assess technical requirements, and oversee design progressions during product developments.
- Understand client applications and instrument interfaces, creating designs that comply with Design for Manufacturing standards.
- Represent the company Design Engineering team in technical customer discussions and meetings.
Requirements
- 10 years of experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field of study.
- SolidWorks 2023 or 2024 proficiency is a must; CREO 8.0 proficiency is a plus.
- Experience in Enclosure Design, Microvalve, and Spring Selection relative to design.
- Plastic Injection Model Experience from Design perspective.
- Medical devices experience in autoinjector technology is a plus; or coming from regulated industry.
- Material Selection for Compatibility medical device and ability to apply Standards such as IEC 60601 and IEC 61010.
- Hand-on experience in integration of medical components.
