About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Support Engineer to join our team at Insight Global. As a Mechanical Design Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our federal client in Indian Head, Maryland. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that is supporting a new 5-year federal award for complete facility renovations in a complex, lab, and industrial environment.
Responsibilities: Your day-to-day responsibilities will include
- Technical reviews of design packages
- Preparing technical reports to summarize preventative maintenance status reports
- Creation of long-term upgrade budgetary projections
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need
- A Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Federal experience in designing buildings with specific requirements (temperature, humidity, etc.)
- A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 8 years of experience in Mechanical Design, specifically supporting Federal Industrial Projects
- HVAC System Design experience
- AutoCAD design/drafting experience
- A Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance
