Job Description
The Senior Network Engineer will act as the top-level escalation point for network events. The Senior Network Engineer is tasked with solving the most complex network issues, often recreating events in a lab environment to better understand, mitigate, and resolve service impacts. The Senior Network Engineer assists in the design, cost analysis, roadmap, implementation, and management of Metro Ethernet, DWDM, management networks, and supporting systems. This position will work closely with product management to create and enhance the service offerings. On-call responsibilities for major network events are required.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Administer ISP related functions such as using Juniper and Nokia routers, DNS, web servers, email servers, etc
- Assist in design of customer IP/network solutions; specify, upgrade and configure switches, routers and firewalls
- Provide project management for basic networking projects, including equipment specification and schedule management
- Create and maintain documentation and training for Engineering and Service Delivery teams
- Develop solutions that support unique customer requirements
- Collaborate with Sales Engineering to improve project workflow processes and meet with key stakeholders to discuss issues related to network design and implementation
- Participate in new product development.
- Complete proof of concept and documentation for new implementations
Salary : $125,000 - $130,000
