Senior Project Manager Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee projects for one of our large energy companies.
This role is accountable for all phases of the project plan, from estimation to completion, including submitting funding requests and developing project plan documents.
The ideal candidate must be able to work independently and maintain unescorted access to the nuclear facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversight of all project phases from initiation to completion.
- Estimation of project costs and submission of funding requests.
- Development and maintenance of comprehensive project plan documents.
- Engagement with stakeholders, providing regular updates and ensuring their needs are met.
- Tracking and reporting on project status throughout the implementation phase.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 11 years of project management experience.
- Bachelor's degree in project management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Expertise in project management principles.
- Utilities background, nuclear industry preferred.
- Strong skills in decision making, critical thinking, and problem solving.
- Experience in risk management, leadership, employee management/development, and oversight.
Preferred Skills:
- Master's degree in business (MBA), project management, or equivalent.
- Utility technical certifications/training.
- PMP or CAPM Certification.
- CMII/Construction Certifications.
- Professional Engineer License.
- Proficiency in project-related scheduling and cost controls.
- Knowledge of construction management.
