A large construction company in Dallas, TX is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Engineer to oversee and manage various aspects of our projects. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with owner contracts, develop and manage project schedules, and maintain quality control standards. This role requires collaboration with the Preconstruction Department, budget management, and the integration of safety protocols into job planning and execution.
This role would require 5 days on-site per week, and will be a direct hire opportunity with the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Compliance: Review owner contracts to ensure all terms and conditions are met.
- Project Scheduling & Quality Control: Develop and manage the master project schedule and quality control program to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.
- Issue & Milestone Identification: Identify and address critical issues and milestones throughout the project lifecycle.
- Budget & Scope Review: Collaborate with the Preconstruction Department to review and refine project budgets and scopes.
- Budget Management: Manage the project budget, forecast potential additional costs, and implement cost-saving measures.
- Safety Integration: Incorporate safety protocols into job planning and execution to ensure a safe working environment.
- Contract Development: Develop GMP (Guaranteed Maximum Price) or Lump Sum Contracts tailored to project requirements.
- Change Orders: Prepare and process subcontract and owner Change Orders efficiently.
- Monthly Requisitions: Prepare Monthly Owner Requisitions to ensure accurate and timely billing.
- Subcontractor Financial Analysis: Analyze the financial stability of subcontractors to ensure their ability to perform.
- Contractual Fulfillment: Ensure all contractual requirements of Subcontractors/Vendors are fulfilled before mobilization.
- Asset Management: Manage project assets effectively to maximize resource utilization.
- Cost Report Reviews: Conduct weekly and monthly reviews of job cost reports to monitor financial performance.
- Scheduling: Develop Look-Ahead Schedules to anticipate and plan for upcoming project phases.
- Quality Control Oversight: Oversee the company’s quality control program to maintain high standards throughout the project.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Construction/Engineering or equivalent technical training and related experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction, design, finance, and management.
- At least 2 years of experience with a commercial electrical contractor.
- Proficiency in Fisk’s software (Primavera, Expedition, CGC CMS, MS Word, Excel, AIA Contract Documents).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced knowledge of safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control, engineering drawings, and other construction documents.
Compensation
$150,000
