JOB DESCRIPTION
A Client / Employer in Collierville, TN is looking to hire a full-time Server Administrator to manage and maintain the organization's Linux, Windows, and VMware environments. The server administrator will be required to sit onsite M-F and will be responsible for server management, system maintenance, security, troubleshooting, and automation and optimization for their server systems. This individual will need to have a strong understanding of networking concepts, ability to troubleshoot complex server issues and contribute to the overall IT infrastructure strategy.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Server Administrator
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat)
- Hands-on experience with VMware (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter)
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP / IP, DNS, VLANs, etc.)
- Prior experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- College Degree (Preferred)
