About the Position
We are looking for a Shelter Support Worker to join our team at Insight Global. In this role, you will provide confidential crisis intervention services to adult and child victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
As a Shelter Support Worker, you will work in a trauma-informed environment and provide emotional support, information, and referrals to victims. You will also assist with day-to-day tasks such as cleaning, food preparation, and transportation.
Main Responsibilities
- Answering crisis lines and providing emotional support to victims
- Transporting clients to and from appointments
- Assisting with day-to-day tasks such as cleaning and food preparation
- Providing support and guidance to victims residing at the shelter
What We Are Looking For
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Reliability and flexibility to work night shifts and weekend shifts if needed
