What are the responsibilities and job description for the Software Vehicle Test Engineer (Night Shift) position at Insight Global?
Job DescriptionInsight Global is looking for a Software Test Engineer to join one of our largest tech clients in the Bay Area.What youll be doing :
- Handle end-to-end AV software testing for autonomous functions (like ACC, LK etc) & collaborating with teams across the Automotive platform.
- Validate product and review requirements, develop test metrics and establish KPI-metrics evaluation.
- Design test routes and perform tests at larger scale to ensure SW quality could match expectations of the end user.
- Report events as per the defined protocols and work with collaborators to improve the reports, communication.
- Triage Lev1 events and put analysis for stakeholders to review.
- Collect quality and valuable expert feedback from test and present them with multi-functional feature PICs / Leads.
- Debugging issues, collaborating with engineers to identify root causes, and chip in to process improvements.This role can pay between $50-$70 / hour depending on years of experience and skillset.We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. - 3 years of testing experience for features.
- Willingness to work the night shift (5pm-1pm PST)
- BS or MS degree in Engineering or Computer Science related field.
- Experience with Linux / QNX systems.
- Prior experience in Verification and Validation test at large scale.
- Prior experience on Triage workflows.
- Proven large scale test experience in (L2 / L2 ) and product with excellence in debugging and problem solving skills.
