Sr Drafter Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Sr Drafter to join our shipbuilding team in Marinette, Wisconsin. This role will focus on modeling and 3D work, creating accurate models and drawings of ship structures.
The ideal candidate will have experience with AutoCAD and Ship Constructor software, as well as a strong understanding of structural base knowledge within the shipbuilding industry.
Responsibilities:
- Create detailed 2D and 3D models of ship structures using AutoCAD and Ship Constructor
- Extract 2D models from 3D designs for manufacturing purposes
- Assist with drawing revisions and updates
- Collaborate with the detail design team to update models and issue changes
Requirements:
- Associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- 5 years of experience in a relevant industry or 10 years in a related field
- Experience with Navis, MS Excel, and Bluebeam/Power PDF
- Familiarity with shipbuilding and ship-work space concepts
