A telecommunications company in Louisville, CO is hiring for a Senior PHY Test Engineer to join a team of 12 RF / PHY test and development engineers. This group is responsible for testing incoming telecom and cable modem equipment from outside manufacturers to ensure optical network regulations are met for certification purposes. The company is currently transitioning from iEEE to ITU for regulatory standards. This person will spend 95% of their day at a test bench running devices against existing automated test tools. They will test devices in isolation as well as in emulated environments to evaluate both the ingress of Wi-Fi signal and the egress or tolerances of cable modems. This person will spend 5-10% of their day interfacing with manufacturers and clients to work through root cause analysis and make suggestions for improvement to ensure equipment is in compliance with all specifications and tolerances for certification.

- PON / Fiber
- Experience testing against iEEE or ITU regulations
- Electrical Engineering or Telecommunications degree
- Experience developing automation test tools
- Extensive professional experience as an RF Test Engineer or a PHY Test Engineer
- Proven experience with RF / PHY testing in a Network Lab Testing environment
- Extensive professional experience with end-to-end system testing for network performance
- Proven ability to test network devices against a variety of testing tools and think critically about the testing process
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal team and external clients when appropriate (approx. 5-10% of the role)
Salary : $115,000 - $135,000
