JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to work for a DoD customer based out of Warren, MI. This team is responsible for developing robotic vehicles that can be driven remotely/autonomously. The primary goal of the Software Engineer is writing source code, C based, and leading mid-level developers on software development lifecycle. This individual will be responsible for software development activities, architecting/designing software requirements, and contributing to test plans/integrations on robotic systems. This is a hybrid role, and the candidate will be expected to work on site in Warren, MI on a project needed basis. (role is 90% remote). The Software Engineer may also be asked to travel to DoD sites a few times per year for field support activities like troubleshooting, etc. This role will require a secret clearance and Insight Global will process the ideal candidate for an interim clearance!
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering field
• 8-12 years of experience in Software Development/Architecture
• Previous experience in a senior software development or architecture role
• Ability to architect and track technical deliverables
• Strong understanding of C/C
• Strong experience in an object-oriented programming language
o C highly preferred
• Experience/ability planning and developing work
• Ability to obtain a secret clearance

Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
