Supply Chain Data Analyst

  • On a day-to-day basis, I spend a tremendous amount of time doing analysis within IDS architecture and communicating with internal and cross-functional teams. The communication portion of the role could be owned by the Product Owner. Since I had previous relationships with some of the IDS customers and my knowledge of systems, I may have been taking up work from that role too. Below is a sample of what I am working on now :
  • Heavy data analysis to find what data we get and what would change as part of the project effort.
  • I recently pulled metadata from all 1500 tables located in a database and find anything that can have sensitive customer data for a project. This takes a ton of time to do but having knowledge of data sources was able to make it much easier.
  • Reviewed specific tables of data and assess what information IDS systems need to meet project requirements
  • Met with cross-functional teams to discuss requirements, timelines and expected outcomes.
  • Create and refine test cases to ensure the highest level of data quality.
  • Technologies / Languages :
  • Advanced to expert level knowledge of SQL
  • Microsoft Excel - Needs to be able to do vlookups
  • JIRA (high level understanding of Agile methodology)
  • QTEST is helpful but not mandatory
  • Knowing Python is helpful but not mandatory
