What are the responsibilities and job description for the System Administrator position at Insight Global?
Insight Global is seeking a Systems Administrator for one of our largest clients in Akron, Ohio. The IT Analyst defines, configures, tests, trains and supports business-related information technology requirements and systems. Collaborating with Group and Division subject matter experts and 3rd party IT vendors, they lead directly, or co-lead, single technology or regional IT projects with accountability for completing on time, budget and meeting expectations. They will be mostly leading an Active Directory Domain Migration, responsible for migrating endpoints and on-prem servers, while simultaneously assisting with a Windows 11 Upgrade and supporting daily tickets and walk-in’s.
Must Haves:
- 5 years of professional IT support experience.
- Experience supporting Windows 7, 8, 10, and 11 professional and Microsoft Office 365.
- Basic knowledge in server support (Win Server 2008-2019).
- Active Directory experience.
- Previous experience with Active Directory migrations of endpoints and servers.
- ServiceNow ticketing system experience.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting.
- Experience with Group Policy Objects (GPOs)
- Project Management experience.
- Available to provide after-hours and weekend technical support as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience contributing to a Windows 11 upgrade.
- Experience working with PowerApps or PowerBI
- SQL Server, MySQL, or Oracle database experience, a plus
- Experience working with Agile methodologies, like Azure DevOps
- Cloud platform or infrastructure experience.
- Previous manufacturing industry experience.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Support day-to-day user issues, and walk-ins and address issues submitted via Service-Now ticketing system.
- Support and perform system/application upgrades of software
- Lead small to medium IT projects
- Setup new hires and help with their onboarding process
- Assist in the long term migration to standard engineering & manufacturing tools
- Get involved in SOX and CMMC compliance audits and actions
- Manages own priorities and provides direction, guidance and mentoring to team members
- Delivers multiple solutions while managing conflicting priorities and resources
- Conducts knowledge transfer and/or cross training with team members
