Title: System Engineer
Location: 5 days a week onsite Warren, MI
Duration: 9-month contract to hire
Salary Conversion: Dependent on years of exp. (need to fit labor categories)
- Averages: 0-5 years below 100k, 5-10 years 100-125k, 10-15 years 125-140k, 15-20 years 140-155k
Must be able to obtain DoD secret clearance
Day to Day:
Insight Global is looking for a System Engineer to join one of our largest defense clients out of Warren, MI. This person will lead the integration of advanced sensor technologies into complex combat vehicle systems. They will author detailed requirements using DOORS, ensuring alignment with program objectives. Also, provide expert technical advice to program management staff and supporting agencies to address critical risk issues. Other responsibilities include:
- Support proposal development and government negotiations, translating technical requirements into clear and concise documentation. Focus areas: NBC, EMI, environmental, shock and vibration
- Contribute to the development of overall technical policy for the customer and disseminate information to relevant organizations
- Work closely with engineers from various disciplines, including optics, sensors, mechanics, and electronics
Must Haves:
- 5 years of experience working with sights or sensors (background with ADAS field in automotive space)
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles
- Ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop innovative solutions
- DOORS experience preferred but open to other tools they have used for requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Robotics Engineering
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance

** Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
Salary : $100,000 - $155,000
