What are the responsibilities and job description for the System Engineer position at Insight Global?
Our team is seeking to hire a System Engineer for a position that is primarily work from home, with the need for someone to come onsite up to 3 times per month (downtown Louisville, KY).
As the Systems Engineer, you will design, implement, and support systems and architectures, plan technical strategies for secure growth, and develop solutions for new systems and integrations. You will manage systems, design monitoring and alerting, and provide technical guidance. Additionally, you will document specifications, mentor team members, and stay current with technical trends. Under general supervision, you will maintain and troubleshoot systems, evaluate solutions, and communicate effectively with leadership and users. You will also provide expert advice on technology, processes, and policies. This is joining a well-established team that focus on both project based work, and acts as the higher tier of escalation for larger scale tickets.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Associate's degree in a relevant field.
- Four years of experience in a Systems Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer or similar role.
- Group Policy, Active Directory, and ManageEngine: Management and modifications
- Technical skills in security best practices, system design, IP networking, cloud services, and DRBC.
- Knowledge of enterprise environments (Microsoft Client/Server, AWS, VMware, O365, Enterprise storage).
- Operations and systems analysis expertise.
- Ability to measure and improve system performance.

$50.00 - $60.00 Hourly depending on experience
