Tech Writer

Position Title: Technical Writer

Location: Fully Remote

***Notes: Cannot accept candidates from Rhode Island, North Dakota, Wyoming, Hawaii, California, New York, or Alaska

Pay rate: $35-47/hr

Duration: 1 year contract, possibility to extend

Must-haves:

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3 years in technical writing, including 1 year with AI documentation tools.
• Advanced AI writing tool proficiency.
• Basic understanding of technical diagrams and system architectures.
• Familiarity with screen capture and documentation design tools.
• Strong technical writing and editing skills.
• Experience with documentation tools (Confluence, MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker).
• Proficiency in creating visual documentation.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies.
• Attention to detail and collaborative skills.
• Deliverables: Comprehensive system documentation, user manuals, AI-assisted training materials, process documentation, quick reference guides, and knowledge base articles.

Plusses:

• Knowledge of hotel operations and hospitality systems is highly desirable.

• Day-to-Day: Insight Global is seeking a skilled Technical Writer to support our client in the hospitality industry. This position will be fully remote and this person will be a part of the loyalty program transformation initiative. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating comprehensive, clear, and user-friendly technical documentation that bridges the gap between complex technical solutions and end-users, including internal teams, hotel staff, and loyalty program members.
