What are the responsibilities and job description for the Telecommunications Construction Manager II position at Insight Global?
One of our Telecommunication Construction clients is currently searching for a Telecommunications Construction Manager to join their growing team in Anchorage, Ak to support ongoing telecom construction projects. This role requires 50%-70% travel across Alaska to visit job sites and the remaining time will be able to work remote. This individual will be responsible for managing large projects, developing and implementing projects, programs, and procedures that have a general organizational impact. The role requires providing functional and technical guidance to junior staff while fostering teamwork within the area of responsibility. They will manage a wide variety of projects, ensuring all are completed on schedule and within budget. Essential Duties:
- Contract and manage outside consultants and contractors and coordinate with onsite construction teams
- Create project scope of work (SOW), bill of materials (BOM), and oversee and participate in the procurement of materials.
- Develop and maintain project budgets, timelines, scope as well as schedules, including traditional Gantt and PERT charts
- Support and define project scopes with internal and external customers, and oversee and participate in the development and resourcing of materials.
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting for projects
Qualifications:
- 4-10 years of Construction Management experience
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study is preferred
- Minimum 3 years of telecommunication construction experience
- Experience managing consultants, contractors, developing scopes of works
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
Hybrid Schedule: Typically traveling to project sites (all located in Alaska) 2-3 days per week and then can work the remaining days remote
Pay: $52.00-$57.00/hr (can be flexible based on experience)
Hiring Method: 12 month contract with a high likelihood of extensions

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
