Location: Lexington, KY - Hybrid 2 days remote, 3 days in office once fully trained
Shift: M-F Regular 40-hour work week

Top Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program
- Professional working experience and knowledge of power flow analysis (or completed classes in Power Systems Analysis)
- Professional working knowledge with Python
Plusses:
- Engineering planning background, and familiar with PJM
- Experience with PSSE, TARA (power pole analysis software)
- PE certification
Daily Responsibilities:
Insight Global is currently seeking a Transmission Planning Engineer for a permanent full-time opportunity in the Lexington, KY area. This individual must have an electrical engineering degree from an ABET accredited program. This individual will be responsible for conducting detailed power flow analysis, develop and refine transmission system plans, consider current and future load demands, utilize tools such as PSSE and TARA, and work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop and implement effective transmission plans. The ideal candidate is a senior engineer who is comfortable with power flow analysis. This role is almost 100% in the office with minimal need for being in the field.
Salary : $115,000 - $184,000
