Position: Systems Engineer (VoIP)
Location: Columbia, MD
Duration: 6mo Contract to Hire
A client of Insight Global's is seeking an experienced System Engineer with a background in VoIP engineering to support a federal program in the Columbia, MD area. This role is supporting a large FAA program focused on modernizing voice communications within air traffic control. Responsibilities include:
- Assist the design, integration and deployment of voice communication systems/subsystems for ATC projects
- Create and maintain technical documentation according to customer requirements
- Translate customer needs into requirements
- Prepare regular reports on project status
Requirements:
- BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or relevant
- 4 years of experience with systems for critical infrastructure customers
- Experience with requirement management processes and tools (DOORS, Cameo, etc)
- Experienced designing, integrating and/or deploying VoIP systems
- Technical writing experience
- Ability to travel occasionally to project sites to assist with deployment
Salary : $70,000 - $160,000
