What are the responsibilities and job description for the WIC PUBLIC HEALTH EDUCATOR position at Insight Global?
Insight Global is looking for a WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) Public Health Educator for a client in New Orleans, LA. This individual will screen and assess WIC participants, conduct nutrition education, and ensure excellent customer service. They will also conduct mandatory outreach (health and medical organizations, community agencies, social services agencies, etc.) to improve access to the Louisiana WIC program. They will deliver clear information, participate in professional development, and respond to emergency preparedness activities. This is a full-time, permanent placement opportunity that will require some evening and weekend work as needed.

- Proficiency in LAWIN, Outlook, Excel, and Louisiana Medicaid
- Bachelor's degree in nutrition, dietetics, home economics, family & consumer sciences, health promotion, pre-med, public health, social work or nursing
- 1 year of professional experience in a maternal child program
- 2 years of professional experience in the field of Public Health
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
