Description
The Dishwasher is responsible for general sanitation of all kitchen areas including washing
dishes, pans, pots, utensils and equipment and performing general cleaning in the kitchen.
Qualifications
1. Operate a dishwashing machine to clean and sanitize all dishes and silverware.
2. Monitor and change chemicals in dishwasher and check machine for proper operating
temperature.
3. Return properly cleaned and sanitized items to their appropriate storage area.
4. Prepare a three-compartment sink for pots and pan washing. Wash and sanitizes pots
and pans.
5. Transport items from the main kitchen to an additional kitchen. Assists supervisor in
ensuring that kitchens have necessary supplies.
6. Assume responsibility for the clean and orderly condition of appropriate areas and
equipment used on the shift.
7. Perform various deep cleaning duties as prescribed by the supervisor.
8. Ensure that kitchen, storage rooms, and walk-in floors are swept and mopped
thoroughly every day.
9. Keep the supervisor informed with regard to the need for supplies and to any problems
arising from the food service procedures.
10. Assist with various duties relating to special catered and fundraising events.
11. Attends all mandatory meetings and in-services.
12. Clear dishes from dining tables during and after meal service.
13. To perform other duties that may be set forth by the management company or
specified by the Community Executive Director or Insight President, completing all
assigned duties which may change from time to time according to resident’s needs,
staffing levels and working circumstances
Salary : $15 - $16
