Sr. Director of Sales (Sr. Director of Methane Results)
Insight M is a holistic methane solutions partner for the oil and gas industry with product offerings that go far beyond traditional leak detection and repair. Our solutions help increase profits, navigate the new regulatory landscape, and improve efficiency, enabling our clients to lead in methane emissions reduction. Our cutting-edge technology pinpoints super-emitter leaks across vast areas, producing unparalleled results for the environment. In 2022 alone, the methane we prevented from being released was equivalent to taking 15 million cars off the road.
We are seeking a results-driven Sr. Director of Sales to make a critical impact on our business, customers, and the planet. Reporting directly to the VP of Methane Results and collaborating closely with our CEO, this role offers the opportunity to drive significant growth while advancing methane transparency initiatives.
In this role, you will develop relationships with high-level executives who influence methane program decisions, helping them navigate the rapidly evolving methane transparency movement.
Key Responsibilities include:
Sales Leadership
- Own the end-to-end sales process, including lead generation, pipeline management, deal negotiation, and post-sale account management, ensuring seamless execution and achievement of revenue targets.
- Develop and execute strategies for achieving sales goals and expanding market share.
- Manage and develop close working relationships with other groups throughout the organization (e.g., Field Operations, Customer Success, Analysis, and Reporting) to help ensure the company’s resources are being used efficiently to achieve our growth and climate impact goals.
Collaboration and Business Development
- Partner with the marketing team to design and implement lead generation campaigns, ensuring a steady flow of high-quality prospects.
- Represent the company at industry conferences and events, building relationships with potential clients and converting networking opportunities into tangible sales leads.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Field Operations, Customer Success, and Product Development, to align solutions with customer needs and maximize value delivery.
Value Proposition and Messaging
- Communicate Insight M’s differentiated value proposition and tailored solutions to demonstrate superior outcomes compared to competitors.
- Listen actively to understand customer pain points and deliver strategic guidance that addresses their holistic challenges—not just methane.
- Address challenging customer questions and dispel misconceptions about methane with clarity and confidence.
Market Insights and Strategy
- Conduct research to understand market trends, customer needs, and competitive forces, using insights to inform sales strategies.
- Analyze target market segments and design custom solutions that align with customer goals.
- Monitor and adapt to evolving regulatory and industry trends to position Insight M as a trusted partner.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Based in Houston or Dallas.
- Proven experience in strategic, consultative enterprise sales with a track record of managing the full sales cycle independently.
- Strong interpersonal and listening skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Thrives in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach to sales strategy design and execution.
Preferred:
- Experience in upstream and/or midstream oil and gas markets.
- Technical background, preferably in field-level engineering.
- Established high-level contacts within the O&G community.
- Familiarity with Level 3 Selling (Revenue Storm or similar techniques).
- Experience selling to large O&G organizations or working in inside sales within an O&G company.
