This team is pioneering next-generation self-driving technology, and they are seeking a Lead Machine Learning Expert to elevate their perception capabilities.
What You'll Do :
Shape the future - Drive the technical vision of the perception team, significantly impacting the autonomous driving roadmap.
Craft advanced perception algorithms - Design and implement state-of-the-art ML models for object detection, classification, segmentation, and multi-object tracking using data from cameras, LiDAR, and radar .
Sensor fusion - Seamlessly integrate different sensor modalities to establish a reliable perception pipeline.
Optimize for performance - Enhance and adapt ML models for real-time embedded systems .
Deploy at scale - Transition ML models from research to production, deploying them on an autonomous fleet.
Lead and mentor - Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers on the team.
What You Bring :
Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Robotics, Applied Mathematics, or a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
Strong leadership skills in steering complex ML projects within autonomous systems or robotics.
In-depth knowledge of deep learning and computer vision , with demonstrated experience in object detection, segmentation, multi-object tracking, sensor fusion, or end-to-end perception .
Expertise in Python and experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow .
Proven record of developing production-ready perception models in practical applications.
Experience in optimizing ML models for real-time embedded platforms .
Strong software engineering abilities, including code optimization, testing, and deployment best practices.
Exceptional communication skills and a keen interest in tackling complex challenges in autonomy.
Bonus Points :
Experience deploying ML models on autonomous vehicle platforms .
Strong skills in C and / or CUDA .
Research contributions to leading ML / AI conferences such as CVPR, NeurIPS, or ICML.
Experience taking ML products from ideation to deployment .
