They are now looking for a Perception Engineer to help develop and deploy cutting-edge vision and sensor fusion algorithms that power real-world autonomy.

The Challenge
The team is developing a state-of-the-art perception system that enables autonomous robots to understand and navigate their environments in real time. As a Perception Engineer, you will work on sensor fusion, SLAM, object detection, and deep learning-based scene understanding. Your algorithms will directly impact the robot’s ability to operate autonomously in GPS-denied and dynamically changing settings.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop robust multi-sensor perception algorithms integrating LiDAR, cameras, radar, and IMU.
- Build and optimize SLAM, object detection, and scene segmentation pipelines for real-time deployment.
- Implement state estimation and sensor fusion techniques (e.g., Kalman Filters, Factor Graphs) to improve robot localization.
- Work with deep learning models for semantic segmentation, object tracking, and depth estimation.
- Collaborate with software, planning, and controls teams to ensure seamless perception integration into robotic autonomy stacks.
- Optimize perception algorithms for real-time performance on embedded and edge computing hardware.
- Contribute to research, prototyping, and deployment of next-generation perception architectures.
Key Skills & Experience
- 3 years’ experience in computer vision, sensor fusion, or robotic perception.
- Strong background in SLAM, multi-sensor fusion, and probabilistic state estimation.
- Proficiency in C and Python, with experience in ROS2, OpenCV, PCL, or similar libraries.
- Deep learning experience (PyTorch, TensorFlow) for object detection and scene understanding.
- Experience with LiDAR, radar, and vision-based perception systems.
- Understanding of real-time processing and optimization techniques for embedded or edge hardware.
- M.S./Ph.D. in Robotics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience).
