Job Description

Insight Technical Advisors is a rapidly growing IT / MSP provider serving North Carolina’s business community. We are passionate about building relationships with our clients by providing outstanding customer care. We seek an Associate Field Technician that shares our passion for serving customers, along with the required technical skills. In this home-based position, you’ll join our Five Star team of highly committed professionals and serve our customers in both a help desk and field tech role. We are looking for customer skills first, followed by technical skills and the creativity to identify, research and resolve client issues.

Essential Functions

You’ll be the first line of support for inbound service requests.
Triage of all tickets to route them to the appropriate staff person for resolution.
Field client support. Roughly 10% of your time will be in the field, serving clients at their site.
Provides outstanding communication support to our clients regarding technical inquiries.
You’ll use your communications and diagnosis skills to isolate the nature of the problem and resolve support issues.
Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves software, hardware, and network failures.
Performs the installation, configuration, upgrades, repair and preventative maintenance of software, hardware and / or systems.
Thoroughly documents cases to ensure continuity of information and adherence to customer service standards.
Maintains awareness of current tools, methodologies and technologies associated to IT support.

Technical Skills & Experience :

This entry level position requires a basic understanding of IT related concepts including :

Understanding and knowledge of network-related issues

Understanding of the Microsoft ecosystem (Office 365, various operating systems)

Basic understanding of networking including firewalls & switches.

Ability to work Monday through Friday from 8 : 00 to 5 : 00 EST.

Must have reliable transportation.

MSP / IT Consulting experience is a plus.

Apple / iOS skills a plus.

Knowledge of cyber security principles a plus.
