Job Summary:
The Nurse Manager for the Pain Management Procedure Area is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring optimal patient care, managing Registered Nurses, Medical Assistants, OR clinical staff, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills to coordinate various aspects of the procedure area effectively.

- Ensure proper and safe equipment and medications are utilized in the procedure area
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure proper sterilization of equipment
- Ensure the availability and timely ordering of medication and supplies
- Collaborate with relevant teams to address procedural changes and equipment needs
- Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
- Oversee patient scheduling, confirmations, and pre-operative preparations
- Address and resolve patient concerns and complaints effectively
- Develop and manage monthly staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage
- Approve time-off requests, manage timecards, and address performance concerns
- Identify and fill staffing gaps to maintain efficient operations
- Collaborate with relevant departments to optimize scheduling and resource allocation
- Participate in quality control and infection control initiatives
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards
- Conduct regular chart reviews and data entry for quality improvement initiatives
- Monitor and address compliance issues and operational risks
- Assist in recruitment and onboarding of qualified staff when needed
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback for professional growth
- Organize training and competency assessments to ensure staff readiness
- Provide operational support during peak times or staffing shortages
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Ability to demonstrate authorization to work in the U.S. for any employer
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pain management or procedural nursing
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and quality assurance standards
- Familiarity with healthcare accreditation requirements
- Able to fulfill a 40-hour per week schedule
- Requires standing, walking, and occasional lifting of medical supplies and equipment.
