Position Summary:
Insights Psychology is seeking a Director of Training to join our team. Based in our Woodbury clinic, the Director of Training will oversee the training and supervision of practicum students, postdoctoral fellows, and pre-licensed clinicians, ensuring the highest standards of professional development. Additionally, this position will maintain a caseload of 16-19 clients per week, delivering psychotherapy and psychological assessments. This position requires strong clinical, mentorship, and administrative skills to support both trainee growth and client care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Training and Supervision:
• Supervise practicum students, postdoctoral fellows, and pre-licensed clinicians, ensuring they meet licensure requirements and develop clinical competencies.
• Develop and implement comprehensive training curricula aligned with ethical standards and current best practices in clinical psychology.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations of supervisees and provide constructive feedback.
2. Clinical Responsibilities:
• Maintain a caseload of 15-18 clients per week, providing psychotherapy and conducting psychological assessments.
• Develop treatment plans, conduct assessments, and deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure coordinated, client-centered care.
3. Program Development:
• Oversee the structure and operation of the training program, ensuring compliance with state and professional guidelines for clinical training.
• Stay up-to-date on licensure requirements, regulations, and best practices in supervision and training.
• Foster a learning environment that promotes growth, diversity, equity, and inclusion among trainees.
4. Leadership and Administration:
• Serve as a liaison between trainees, licensed clinicians, and administrative staff.
• Participate in the hiring, onboarding, and orientation processes for new trainees.
• Maintain accurate documentation of supervision and clinical work, adhering to legal and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to set training program goals.
Required Qualifications:
• Doctoral degree (PsyD or PhD) in Clinical or
Counseling Psychology.
• Active licensure as a Psychologist in the state of Minnesota.
• 3-5 years of post-licensure clinical experience, including supervision of practicum students, postdoctoral fellows, and pre-licensed clinicians is hughly desirable.
• Proficiency in providing psychotherapy and conducting psychological assessments.
• Strong knowledge of state and national licensure requirements and ethical guidelines for supervision.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive training environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in developing and managing training programs within a mental health setting.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities and assessment tools.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Work Environment:
This is an in-person position housed at our Woodbury clinic, with the possibility of limited remote work as needed. Insights Psychology fosters a supportive work culture that values professional development and work-life balance.
