Job Overview
13 weeks assignment, 2 years’ experience in current specialty required. Must be a team player, flexible and accustomed to fast paced environment. Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment.
CERTS: BLS, NRP, and AWHONN intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring certifications required. BLS and PALS must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross. Traveler must pass the BCA testing during first week of assignment. Travelers that do not pass the BCA test will be dismissed.
EMR: EPIC EMR experience preferred.
SHIFTS: This is a 12 hour Day shift position. Shifts may fluctuate to fulfill department staffing needs. No On call; however, weekends and holidays as needed. Traveling pairs are not guaranteed same schedules or same shifts.
ORIENTATION: 1st week of the contract, not to exceed 40 total hours, and includes EPIC training. Scrubs required
Duties
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations and provide appropriate treatments for patients
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs and symptoms
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Perform medical procedures such as suturing wounds and managing IV lines
- Utilize medical imaging and laboratory results to inform patient care decisions
- Provide compassionate care in specialized areas like Behavioral Health, Memory Care, ICU, and Assisted Living
- Support outpatient services and assist in the management of acute and chronic illnesses
Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Experience in various healthcare settings such as hospitals, clinics, or long-term care facilities
- Proficiency in conducting diagnostic evaluations and providing treatment plans
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams effectively
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of care
- Nice-to-have skills: Experience in Behavioral Health, Diagnostic Evaluation, Memory Care, Laboratory, Assisted Living, Outpatient services, ICU, suturing techniques, and familiarity with medical imaging.
