Position Purpose: To coordinate and implement an individualized plan of care for each patient using the nursing process, practicing within their scope, standards, policies, values, and mission of the organization.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties
Position Specific Performance Expectations:
o Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
o Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
o Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
o Identifies barriers to effective communication based on psychosocial, literacy, financial, and cultural considerations.
o Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
o Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires.
o Employs critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
o Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, and take appropriate action.
o Performs other duties as assigned.
o Partners with the healthcare consumer to implement a patient centered plan of care.
o Demonstrates caring attitudes and behaviors to develop therapeutic relationships.
o Uses evidence-based interventions and strategies to achieve optimal outcomes.

Qualifications Minimum Requirements:
o Must be at least 16 years of age (21 for driving positions)
o Must be able to legally work in the United States
o Must be able to pass a background check
o Must be able to pass a drug screen and breath alcohol test (if applicable)
o Must complete employee health meeting
Education/Licensure/Certification:
o High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
TNCC - Preferred
o Unencumbered RN License – Colorado or Compact State required
o Current Certification BLS- required
o ACLS
o PALS
Experience:
o Med/Surg experience preferred
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $55.48 - $57.46 per hour
