Job Overview
The Ultrasonographer (US) will work 36 hours/week, night shift, 6p - 6:30a, with every 4th weekend worked. No call required with this assignment. US may occasionally float other Zanesville locations (all less than a mile away). RDMS with OB/GYN and Abdominal designation required, along with active BLS certification. Epic EMR experience needed.
New graduates will not receive consideration as this is a high volume, fast-paced assignment.
Duties
- Conduct ultrasound procedures following established protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and address concerns
- Apply aseptic techniques during examinations to prevent infections
- Utilize medical terminology accurately in reports and discussions
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret sonographic information for diagnosis
Qualifications
- Proficient knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Experience in patient care within a medical setting
- Competency in aseptic technique practices
- Strong communication skills to interact with patients and medical staff
- Familiarity with diagnostic radiology, Ob/Gyn, and medical imaging
- Certification in Sonography or relevant field
