Description: Insignia Federal Group is a professional consulting firm headquartered in Northern Virginia. We currently have an excellent opportunity for a requirements analyst to support a federal government client with the modernization of multiple large-scale websites and web-based workflow applications. The Technical Requirements/Business Analyst should be dynamic, detail-oriented, and independently motivated. The successful candidate will translate the voice of the customer into supporting documentation for the team within a fast-paced, Agile atmosphere. This individual will take the lead in balancing business requirements with complex application analyses to deliver clear and concise user stories and requirement framework and documentation. They will be able to proactively communicate and collaborate with the project manager, technical manager, UI/UX designers, subject matter experts and developers to ensure that the business requirements are met.
Successful candidate:
- Facilitates requirements analyses and validation between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders
- Analyzes business and user requirements for clarity, completeness, scope and feasibility
- Interprets and decomposes business-level requests into software-functional/nonfunctional requirements and properly documents them in JIRA or similar systems
- Performs testing of applications, drafting of test documentation, and coordination of testing efforts with stakeholders
- Has experience with developing requirements for Content Management Systems (CMS), such as Drupal
- Has broad technical exposure with the ability to learn new technology tools and concepts quickly
- Identifies requirements using a number of varying methodologies (such as interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, interactive prototypes, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis);
- Contributes to the quality of the project by evaluating information gathered from multiple sources, reconciling conflicts, and proposing alternative approaches;
- Establishes and implements effective requirements practices, including use and continuous improvement of a requirements process, policies, procedures, and tools.
Required Qualifications: MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN OR AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN U.S. WITHOUT SPONSORSHIP. The candidate must have 8 years of business experience in requirements gathering, analysis and prototyping, and 3 years recent experience in leading requirements for large-scale Web development efforts. Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business or related discipline is required. Must be detail-oriented with strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills. Must have ability to coordinate, prioritize, and accomplish multiple tasks in a fast-paced atmosphere with minimal supervision. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams and JIRA required. Experience with applications such as Axure RP and Figma preferred.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
