Our Boston office serves as a vital hub for our U.S. operations, and we are looking for a tech-savvy individual to join our team as a Part-Time IT Consultant. Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level technical support to office employees via phone, email, and in-person.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Manage user accounts and access permissions.
- Maintain an inventory of IT assets and ensure accurate documentation.
- Handle the installation and updates of software applications.
- Offer training and support to employees on IT-related topics.
- Collaborate with the IT team to enhance IT policies and procedures.
- Perform other IT administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in an IT support or helpdesk role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.
- Familiarity with common office software and applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
- Basic understanding of networking principles and troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Availability to work part-time hours, with flexibility to accommodate urgent issues.
It's expected to work one or two days on-site every week, as well as ad-hoc on-call support during the rest of the time.
