About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our outpatient team. This role focuses on providing high-quality mental health care, including comprehensive assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing management. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical judgment, excellent interpersonal skills, and a passion for supporting mental health in an outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Care:
- Deliver outpatient care to patients, including psychiatric assessments, diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, and follow-up care.
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications in accordance with clinical guidelines and best practices.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and ensure continuity of care.
- Provide crisis intervention support when necessary.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with psychiatrists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated and comprehensive care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care strategies and outcomes.
- Coordinate with community resources, external organizations, and, when necessary, law enforcement to support patient needs.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Effectively communicate clinical findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing with current APN licensure.
- Certification in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing (PMHNP) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical experience in psychiatric or outpatient care.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Schedule:
