What You'll Do as an Human Resources/HRIS Systems Consultant:
- Often working as an embedded part of the client's organization, serve as the primary Human Resources resource for client's and leadership, becoming the part-time HR Department for several clients in various industries.
- Be the expert on the team and for our clients on HRIS systems, specifically UKG, including;
- Implement, configure, and maintain the system for our clients and for the practice
- monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues
- proactively evaluate and identify opportunities to automate workflows across all aspects of HR processes, including but not limited to onboarding, benefits administration, payroll processing, and compliance reporting.
- provide training and technical support to HR staff and end-users
- Working as part of a service delivery team that includes recruiting and HR administrative support, you will provide HR services and serve as a resource to client management on all employment matters. Being flexible and practical when addressing issues, with an understanding that one of our primary roles is to reduce client risk and exposure to matters related to employment practices.
- Assisting with routine and complex employee relations/performance issues.
- Guiding on non-standard matters, including diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, reorganization, policy creation, and leadership mentoring
- Performing routine HR management duties, including benefits oversight, handbook development and updates, job description creation, etc.
- Enhancing and updating policies and procedures in accordance with labor laws, best practices, and cultural inclusion while also proactively identifying instances of noncompliance with labor laws
- Designing and coordinating new employee onboarding and exit meetings. Mitigating employment issues, lay-offs/terminations, equity audits, and compliance to offer advice to clients on all HR-related functions.
- Participating in HR Assessments of new clients and working with the team to launch new clients.
- Guide and implement initiatives to enhance workplace culture, boost engagement, and advance DEIB efforts, aligning these strategies with the client’s values and overall mission.
What We're Looking For as an Human Resources/HRIS Systems Consultant:
- Bachelor's degree required; higher-level degree preferred
- 3 years of experience with HRIS systems UKG, Paycom and Paylocity experience preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of Human Resources experience with increasing levels of autonomy and proactive engagement with the work
- Experience in Biotech, Manufacturing, Startups, For-profit, and Non-profit helpful
- Experience working in small to mid-sized companies with startups – 150 employees
- Demonstrated effectiveness in engaging with clients in a highly professional and service-oriented manner. Serve as an effective ambassador of Insource HR at client sites.
- Demonstrated professional judgment skills and positive, inclusive, interactive style
- Experience explaining and presenting HR information and practices to current and prospective clients clearly and with gravitas
- Conversant in Federal and Massachusetts employment regulations. Proactive in problem-solving and accessing additional resources as necessary.
