Job Title: General Contractor – Commercial Inspector
Location: Key West, FL.
Job Type: Full-Time / Contract
Salary: Pay is per inspection, plus additional buildings at a different rate and different building types. A fee schedule will be provided as it is a little complex.

Job Description:
As a General Contractor – Commercial Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive inspections on commercial properties, ensuring compliance with safety standards, building codes, and regulations. You will work closely with property owners, developers, and other professionals to identify issues, provide solutions, and ensure that all aspects of a commercial property are in optimal condition for business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
MUST BE IN MONROE
- Perform detailed inspections/observations of commercial properties, including structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
- Prepare clear and concise inspection reports outlining findings, issues, and recommendations.
- Ensure that projects are completed within established timelines
- Connect with Property managers to schedule the inspections
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a General Contractor, with a focus on commercial construction projects.
- In-depth knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Strong understanding of commercial property systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and client interaction.
- Valid Florida Contractor’s License.
- Part 107 FAA license preferred with AMERICAN drone preferred
- Ladder and extension pole is required if the roof is not accessible to walk or if you do not have a drone and or drone license.
- Ability to travel to various inspection sites as needed.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with commercial inspection software and tools.
- Project management experience.
