As the Maintenance Manager of Savannah Lakes RV Resort, you will perform various technical maintenance tasks, including plumbing, light carpentry, HVAC, and appliance repairs. You will oversee and lead the maintenance team, ensuring all maintenance standards are upheld and that all capital projects, preventative maintenance (PM) tasks, and general repairs are completed on schedule. You will create and manage the weekly maintenance schedule, ensuring work is completed efficiently. Additionally, you will collaborate with the General Manager to maintain the maintenance budget, manage ordering and inventory, and ensure expenses stay on track.
You will also oversee subordinate employees, carrying out responsibilities in line with company policies and applicable laws. You will manage all interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning work, and addressing employee performance, complaints, and problems.
To be successful, you should have:
• Maintenance and supervisory experience, preferably in RV, mobile homes, or residential/commercial properties, focusing on customer service and hospitality.
• Ability to develop and coordinate projects, resolve issues effectively, and ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget.
• Leads teams, fosters cooperation, adapts to changing environments, and takes initiative to improve processes and responsibilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and basic math; able to read, interpret, and communicate effectively; follow safety protocols and guidelines.
• Commercial/Residential Building Certification and OSHA/Safety Training knowledge are preferred.
Your responsibilities as the Maintenance Manager will include:
• Oversee team selection, training, scheduling, and performance, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and maintaining MSDS binders.
• Inspect and approve the work performance of the maintenance team while reviewing all resort grounds, facilities, rental units, and infrastructure.
• Manage preventative maintenance for tools, appliances, equipment, and mechanical systems, including recording findings and recommending replacements.
• Prioritize and delegate service requests, ensuring tasks are completed promptly and efficiently while maintaining service quality.
• Maintain and monitor resort landscaping, mechanical equipment, and propane systems, ensuring upkeep of all assets within the approved budget and reporting to management as needed.
