Membership Coordinator
National Association for Latino Community Asset Builders (NALCAB) is a national membership organization representing 200 nonprofits that serve diverse Latino communities in all 50 states, Washington, DC, and Puerto Rico. With offices in San Antonio, TX, and DC, we are a grant maker and US Treasury-certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI). We support our members through training, funding, policy advocacy, and resources to amplify the impact of their programs and services. Working together, the NALCAB network can effect real change.
We aim to strengthen the economy by advancing economic mobility in Latino communities. NALCAB Network members invest in their communities by building affordable housing, addressing gentrification, supporting small business growth, and providing financial counseling on credit building and homeownership issues.
Your Role:
As the Membership Coordinator, you report to the Senior Membership Manager and support NALCAB’s membership program. You will focus on managing the membership database, handling invoicing, recruiting and retaining members, and driving engagement through outreach and campaigns.
To thrive, you should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, PR, or a related field preferred.
- 1–2 years in a similar role, ideally in a nonprofit or professional society.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, familiar with tools like MailChimp, Canva, SurveyMonkey, and membership management software (e.g., Blackbaud Grantmaking).
- Exceptional customer service skills and strong written and verbal communication abilities; bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Highly self-motivated, able to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality and diplomacy.

Your key responsibilities as the Membership Coordinator will include:
- Respond promptly to inquiries, track requests, and ensure adequate follow-up.
- Oversee renewals, invoicing, outreach, and maintaining accurate databases and resources.
- Prepare and share reports on membership activity, outreach, and campaigns.
- Support communications, including emails and surveys, and assist in planning webinars, meetings, and other events.
- Identify opportunities to improve membership benefits, retention, and recruitment strategies.
