About the Work:

  • Set Board meeting agendas in collaboration with Board members and School administrators, including coordinating, scheduling, and attending planning sessions
  • Coordinate, prepare, and distribute Board presentations and packets
  • Facilitate, including management of technology needs, and attend meetings of the Board and its committees
  • Prepare Board meeting minutes and ensure they are posted in compliance with the School’s Charter
  • Coordinate with Stride administrative staff and the Board’s legal counsel to oversee compliance with corporate and regulatory directives, including the Indiana Open Door Law, the Indiana Access to Public Records Act, Hoosier’s By-Laws and Fiscal Policies and Procedures, the School’s grant-funded programs, and the School’s Charter
  • Coordinate with Stride administrative staff to ensure compliance with any corrective action plan required by the Authorizer or regulators
  • Attend educational and training sessions offered by the School’s Authorizer
  • Coordinate communications between Stride and the Authorizer and serve as the Board’s representative in meetings with the Authorizer
  • Coordinate with the Head of Schools regarding the posting of job openings for the School’s teachers and local administrative staff positions
  • Participate in interviews for the hiring of all teachers and local administrative staff
  • Manage Board responsibilities related to periodic charter renewal processes
