Senior Communications Specialist
We are currently seeking a Senior Communications Specialist to join our team. This position is responsible for developing strategic communications plans and written content that enhance Insperity’s reputation and helps achieve company goals.
Responsibilities
Develops strategic communications plans by collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Ensures communications plans are based on an understanding of communications planning principles, audience insights, company objectives, brand voice, and editorial guidelines.
Identifies, develops, and manages a variety of internal communication vehicles, understands employee insights and motivations, and tailors’ communications effectively to create impact and engagement.
Creates written pieces including employee announcements, intranet copy, feature stories, video scripts, newsletters, email campaigns, presentations, FAQs, toolkits, and other short-form and long-form communications.
Establishes metrics and reports on communication plan performance based on initiative’s goals and objectives.
Stays abreast of current industry best practices and proactively seeks out innovative trends to identify and implement new strategies to increase readership, viewership, and engagement.
Applies learning and best practices to improve efficiency of content development and deployment process.
Meets all deadlines, fulfills content publishing commitments, and consistently achieves quick turnarounds in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
Creates and delivers training presentations related to writing and communications best practices for interns and other internal stakeholders.
Participates in meetings including, but not limited to, brainstorming sessions, working sessions, kick-off meetings, conference calls, execution of campaigns, client meetings, etc.
Assists in the accomplishment of Insperity Company goals.
Helps other employees to accomplish Insperity Company goals.
Performs other duties as may be assigned by department supervisor.
Participates in the Disaster Recovery plan as required.
Qualifications
High School Diploma is required. Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, English, or a related discipline is preferred.
Five to seven years of experience in a related field with demonstrated strong communications planning and writing background and experience is required.
No licenses or certifications are required.
Excellent writing skills with an eye for detail and thorough knowledge of AP style and grammar.
Demonstrated high degree of accuracy and efficiency when writing, revising, editing, or proofreading content.
Demonstrated experience in understanding and sharing a company’s culture with employees.
Proven ability to create communication plans using multiple channels to reach different audiences, such as online, print, video, etc.
Demonstrated project and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with key stakeholders.
Able to work successfully in a fast-paced environment with ever-changing priorities.
Proficient computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
