As the Staff Accountant, you will perform basic accounting functions using QuickBooks Online and Excel with precision and accuracy. Working onsite, you will handle a variety of accounting and administrative tasks that support the broader finance team. You will ensure data integrity, reconcile accounts, and help streamline accounting processes while communicating effectively with team members and external partners.
To thrive, you should have:
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration is required.
- 5 years of accounting experience, including AR/AP, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- 3 years of experience using QuickBooks Online and importing transactions with TransactionPro.
- 3 years of experience reconciling electronic payments, credit cards, and ACH transactions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (formulas, pivot tables, charts, lookup functions).
- A meticulous attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
Your responsibilities as the Staff Accountant will include:
- Manage and maintain financial records, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, assist with audits, and support day-to-day financial operations.
- Manage daily bank and credit card reconciliations, generate daily billing and cash reports, and ensure accuracy between operating and financial systems.
- Prepare journal entries, complete balance sheet account reconciliations, and meet all month-end deadlines.
- Analyze transactions for insights, maintain internal controls, manage business tax reporting, and stay current on regulatory changes.
- Oversee vendor and customer accounts, process transactions, handle collections and chargebacks, and support 1099 reporting.
- Provide timely, professional support to internal and external stakeholders, responding to inquiries within 4 hours.
